The equation is - 4x + 9y = 10

Write the above equation in slope-intercept form line equation is y = mx + b, where m is slope and b is y-intercept.

9y = 10 + 4x

y = 4x/9 + 10/9

m = 4/9

We know that parallel lines slopes are equal.

So the required line slope is 4/9.

Now, the line equation is y = (4/9)x + b.

Find the y - intercept by substituting any point in the line equation say (x, y) = (1, -2).

- 2 = (4/9)(1) + b

b = - 2 - (4/9)

b = ( - 18 - 4)/9

b = - 22/9

Required line equation is y = (4/9)x - (22/9).
