To find trigonometric functions first draw point in figure for better uderstanding

From above figure, take angle at point (-3 , 4)

Opposite = 3

Adjacent = 4

Hypotenuse = image

Hypotenuse = 5

Formula for sine function

Substitute Opposite = 3  and Hypotenuse = 5

Substitute  Adjacent = 4 and  Hypotenuse = 5

In second quadrant (Q₂), cosθ is negative

Formula for tan function

Substitute Opposite = 3 and  Adjacent = 4

In second quadrant (Q₂), tanθ is negative

Formula for sec function image

Substitute  Adjacent = 4 and Hypotenuse = 5

In second quadrant (Q₂), secθ is negative
