Diameter of the cone d = 12 yd

Radius of the cone r = d/2 = 12/2 = 6 yd

Volume of the cone V = 224 yd³

Height of cone h = ?

Volume of the cone V = (π/3)r²h

Substitute : V = 224 yd³ and r = 6 yd

224 = (π/3)(6)²h

224 = (π/3)36h

h = 224*3/36π

h = 5.942 yd

Height of cone is 5.942 yd
