Given expression is

3b - ( 6 - b ) = 22

Using distributive property: a(b + c) = ab + ac.

3b - ( 6 ) - (- b ) = 22

3b - 6 + b = 22

Using commutative property of addition: a + b = b + a.

3b + b - 6 = 22

4b - 6 = 22

Add 6 to each side.

4b - 6 + 6 = 22 + 6

4b  = 28

Divide each side by 4.

4b/4  = 28/4

b  = 7

Multiply each side by 7.

b×7  = 7×7

7b = 49

Solution : 7b = 49.
