The given fuctions f(x)= 2x+3 and g(x) = x^2 - 9

g(f(2)) = g(f(x))

g(f(2)) = g(2(2)+3)

         = g(7)

g(x) = g(7)

       = (7)^2 - 9

       = 49 - 9 = 40

Therefore g(f(2)) = 40.
