System of Equations are

5x - 3y = -36 ---------------> (1)

3x -  y = -10 ----------------> (2)

Rewrite the Eq (2)

3x + 10 = y ----------------> (3)

Substitute y = 3x + 10 in Eq (1)

5x - 3(3x + 10) = -36
5x - 9x - 30 = -36
-4x - 30 = -36
-4x = -36 + 30
-4x = -6

x  =  (-6) / (-4)

x  =  3/2

Substistute x = 3/2 in Eq (3)

y  =  3(3/2) + 10

y  =  9/2 + 10

y  =  (9 + 20) / 2

y  =  29/2

Answer :

The solutions are x = 3/2 and y  =  29/2.
