Substitution method

Given first equation is - 2 x + 2y = 2

Subtract 2x from each side.

-2x + 2x + 2y = 2 +2x

2y = 2 + 2x

y = 2 +2x / 2

y = 2 ( x + 1 ) / 2

y =  ( x + 1 )

Second equation - 4x + 4y  = 12 ---> (2)

 substitute thevalue in eq (2).

- 4x+4(x+1) = 12

- 4x+4x +4 = 12

4 = 12.

Above statement  is false.

So the above system of equations have no solutions.
