Let First Number  =  x

Then Second Number  =  x + 16

Given that the two numbers add to 70

x + (x + 16)  =  70

2x + 16  =  70

2x  =  70 -16

2x  =  54

x  =  54 / 2

x  =  27

First Number  =  27

Second Number  =  27 + 16  = 43

Answer :

First Number is 27

Second Number is 43.
