A circle is inscribed in a polygon. What can you say about the sides of the polygon with respect to the circle?

The largest circle that will fit inside a polygon that touches every side.

The in circle of a regular polygon is the largest circle that will fit inside the polygon and touch each side in just one place, hence each of the sides is a tangent to the in circle.

If the number of sides is 3, then the result is an equilateral triangle and a circle inscribed in it.
