Slope of the line M = y2-y1/x2-x1

Let the first line PQ points say (x1,y1) = (0,6)

                                            (X2,Y2) = (-1,8)

Slope of PQ =m1 = 8-6/-1-0

m1 = 2/-1

m1 = -2

Now second line RS points say (x1,y1) =(3,3)

                                              (x2,y2) = (5,-1)

m2 = -1-3/5-3

     = -4/2

     =-2

⇒m1 = m2

PQ is parallel to the RS
