Solve the system of equations

Eliminate tha caraible y by subtracting the equations 2 from 1

5x-4y = 25

3x-4y = 15

------------------

2x = 10

Divide each side by 2.

x = 5

Substitute x = 5 in 5x-4y = 25 and find the value of y.

5 * 5 - 4y = 25

25 - 4y = 25

subtract 25 from each side.

-4y = 0

y = 0

(x , y) = (5, 0).
