y-5 = 5/4(x+4)

Multiply 4/5 to each side.

(y-5)4/5 = 5/4*4/5(x+4)

4y/5 -4 = x+4

subtract 4 from each side.

4y/5 -4-4 = x+4-4

4y/5 -8 = x

Solution x = 4y/5 - 8
