(6x-1/x^2y)+(3y+2/2xy)

= (6x-1)(2xy)+(3y+2)(x^2y) / 2x^3y^2

= 12x^2y-2xy+3x^2y^2+2x^2y / 2x^3y^2

= 14x^2y+3x^2y^2-2xy / 2x^3y^2

Take out common terms and cancel them
(14x^2y+3x^2y^2-2xy) / 2x^3y^2
= (14x + 3xy - 2) / (2x^2 3y^2)
