Here given one line equation is 4x+12y = 24

4x+12y = 24

subtract 4x from each side.

4x+12y-4x = 24-4x

12y = 24-4x

Divide by 12 to each side.

12y/12 = (24-4x)/12

y = 24/12-4x/12

y = 2-(1/3)x

y = -(1/3)x+2

Slope of the line = -1/3.

Slope of the parallel lines to given line is also -1/3.
