Distance between the points = √[(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2]

Say the points (x1,y1) = (23,-33)

(x2,y2) = (4,9)

Distance between the points = √[(4-23)^2+(9+33)^2]

= √[361+1764]

= √2125

= 46.097

= 46.1
