DRAW THE TWO TANGENTS FROM A POINT WHICH IS 10CM AWAY FROM THE CENTRE OF A CIRCLE OF RADIUS 6CM.ALSO, MEASURE THE LENGTHS OF THE TANGENTS

A pair of tangents to the given circle can be constructed as follows.

Taking point O(0,0) of the given plane as centre.

Draw a circle of radius is 6cm.

Locate a point P is 10cm away from O,join OP.

Bisect OP,mid point of OP is M.

Taking M as centre and MO as radius draw a circle.

Let this circles intersects the previous circle at Q and R.

Join the  PQ and PR . they are required tangents.
