5x 2- 8x + 5 = 0.

Now solve the equation using the factor method.

Compare equation with standard from ax 2 + bx + c = 0 and write the coefficients.

a = 5, b = - 8 and c = 5.

Quadratic formula: x = [- b ± √(b 2- 4ac)]/2a

Substitute a = 5, b = - 8 and c = 5 in the Quadratic formula.

x = [-(-8) ± √((-8)2- 4(5)(5))]/2(5)

x = [8 ± √(64 - 100)]/10

x = [8 ± √(- 36)]/10

x = [8 ± √(i 236)]/10

x = [8 ± 6i ]/10

x = [4 ± 3i ]/5

Therefore x = [4 + 3i ]/5 or x = [4 - 3i ]/5

A + Bi form is x = (4/5) + (3/5)i or x = (4/5) - (3/5)i.
