The equation is 5x - 4y = 3.

The slope intercept form of a line is y = mx + b.

the original equation is 5x - 4y = 3.

Add 4y to each side.

5x = 3 + 4y

3 + 4y = 5x

Subtract 3 from each side.

4y = 5x - 3

Divide each side by 4.

y = (5/4)x - 3/4.

Compare the above equation with slope intercept form y = mx + b.

Slope m = 5/4.

Say the point  (x1, y1)=(6, -7)

The line is y - y1 = m(x - x1).

y - (-7) = 5/4(x - 6)

y + 7 = 5/4(x - 6)

y  =5/4(x - 6) - 7

y  = (5x - 30 - 28) / 4

y  = (5/4)x - 29/2.

The line is y  = (5/4)x - 29/2.
