The point slope equation is y + 2 = - 6(x - 7)

y + 2 = - 6x + 42

y = - 6x + 40

Compare the above equation with slope-intercept form y = mx + b.

slope = -6 and y - intercept is 40.

y - intercept is 40, so the line crosses the y-axis at (0, 40)

Using slope find the next point.

Slope = rise/run = -6/1

Start at point (0, 40), move 6 units down and 1 units right, then plot the point (1, 34).

Draw a line through these points.
