The system of equations

y  =  x^2 + 3x + 2 -------------> (1)

y  =  x + 2 -------------------> (2)

Substitute y  =  x + 2 in Eq (1)

x + 2  =  x^2 + 3x + 2

x^2 + 3x + 2 - (x + 2)  =  0

x^2 + 3x + 2 - x - 2  =  0

x^2 + 2x  =  0

x(x + 2)  =  0

x  =  0        ;         (x + 2)  =  0

x  =  0        ;                 x  =  - 2

Answer :

The Solutions are x  =  0, x  =  - 2.
