When you reflect a point accross the x  axis the x coordinate remains the same but the y coordinate is transformed in to it's opposite.

The reflection of the point (x ,y ) accross the x axis is the point (x , -y )

When you reflect a point accross the y axis the y coordinate remains the same but the x coordinate is transformed in to it's opposite.

The reflection of the point (x , y ) across the y axis is the point (-x, y ).

1) B(1,-2) B'(1,2)

In this case The y coordinate is transformed in to it's opposite.

The reflection is over the x axis.

2) J(-3,5) J'(-3,-5)

In this case The y  coordinate is transformed in to it's opposite.

The reflection is over the x axis.

3) W(-7,-4) W'(7,-4)

In this case The x  coordinate is transformed in to it's opposite.

The reflection is over the y  axis.
