Say the points

(x1, y1) = (2, 7)

(x2, y2) = (-1, -11)

Slope intercept form : y - y1 = [(y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)](x - x1).

y - 7 = [( - 11 - 7)/(- 1 - 2)](x - 2)

y - 7 = - 18/- 3(x - 2)

y - 7 = 18/3(x - 2)

y  = 18/3(x - 2) + 7

y = 18/3(x) - 36/3 + 7

y = 18/3(x) + ( - 36 + 21)/3

y = 18/3(x) - 5.

Therefore,Slope intercept form of a line is y = 18/3(x) - 5.

The line equation is y = mx + b

m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

= (-11 - 7) / ( -1 - 2)

= -18 / -3

= 6

Line equatio is y = 6x + b

Find y-intercept by substituing any point on the line  say (2, 7)

7 = 6 * 2 + b

b = -5

The line equation is y = 6x - 5
