The point is(- 1,3) and slope (m) = 2.

Line equation formula :  y - y₁ = m(x  -x₁)

Substitute the values of (x₁, y₁) = (- 1,3) and m = 2 in line formula.

y  - 3 = 2(x + 1)

Add 3 to each side.

y  = 2(x + 1) + 3

y = 2x + 4.

Compare the equation with slope-intercept form y = mx + b.

slope = 2 and y-intercept is 4.

y-intercept is 4, so the line crosses the y-axis at (0, 4)

Using slope find the next point.

Slope = rise/run = 2/1

Start at point (0, 4), move 2 units up (4 + 2 = 6) and 1 unit right (0  + 1  = 1).

Then plot the point (1, 6).

The another point on the line is (1, 6).

The point is(- 1,3) and slope (m) = 2.

Piont slope form :  y - y₁ = m(x - x₁).

Substitute the values of (x₁, y₁) = (- 1,3) and m = 2 in piont slope form .

y  - 3 = 2(x + 1)

y  = 2(x + 1) + 3

y = 2x + 2 +3

y = 2x + 5.

Compare the equation with slope-intercept form y = mx + b.

Slope = 2 and y-intercept is 5.

y - intercept is 5 so the line crosses the y - axis at (0, 5).

Using slope find the next point.

Slope = rise/run = 2/1.

 Point (0, 5), move 2 units up (5 + 2 = 7) and 1 unit right (0  + 1  = 1).

Then plot the point (1 ,7).

The another point  lie on the line is (1, 7).
