Let width of given rectangle (b )= x feet

Then length of given rectangle (l ) = 3x + 6 feet

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b )

2(3x + 6 + x ) = 188

2(4x + 6) = 188

Divide each side by 2

4x + 6 = 94

Subtract 6 from each side.

4 = 88

Divide each side by 4.

= 22.

3x + 6 = 3(22) + 6 = 66 + 6 = 72

Width of rectangle = 22 feet

Length of rectangle = 72 feet.
