Given

The area of the rectangle is 105 m squared.

Let the width of a rectangle is w.

The length of a rectangle is 8 lgrater than the width.

So the length of  the rectangle is w + 8.

The area of the rectangle = length * width.

105  = ( w + 8 ) * w

105 = w ^2+ 8w

w ^2 + 8w - 105  = 0.

w ^2 + 15w -7w -105 = 0.

w ( w + 15 ) - 7 ( w + 15 ) = 0

( w + 15 )  ( w - 7) = 0

Zero product rule

w + 15 = 0 and  w - 7  = 0

w = - 15  and w = 7

Width measurent is always positive.

The length of a width =7 units.

Therefore the length of a rectangle is w + 8.

 =7+8 = 15 units.

Solution :   The length of a rectangle is15 units.
