Width of rectangle(b) = x m

Then length of rectangle(l) = 3x-2 m

Rectangle perimeter = 2(l+b) = 44m

2[(3x-2)+x] = 44

2[4x-2] = 44

Divide to each side by 2.

4x-2 = 22

Add 2 to each side.

4x = 24

Divide to each side by 4.

x = 6

Width of rectangle = 6m

Length of rectangle 3x-2 = 16m.
