The functions are

1).y = 1 / 2x

2).y = 1 / (x + 3).

1).

Excluding x - values that yield zero in the denominator, the domain of y = 1 / 2x is the set of all real numbers x except x = 0.

2).

Excluding x - values that yield zero in the denominator, the domain of y = 1 / (x + 3) is the set of all real numbers x except x = - 3.
