NOTE :

Horizontal and vertical lines will always have an x (or) y value that is constant.

Horizontal lines have a constant y value. vertical lines have a constant x value.

Means that, horizontal line is in the form of y = c, where c is constant.

And, vertical line is in the form of x = c, where c is constant.

a).

The point is (7, - 12) in the form (x, y).

Vertical line through the point (7, - 12) is x = 7.

b).

The point is (- 10, - 8) in the form (x, y).

Horizontal line through the point (- 10, - 8) is y = - 8.
