The equations are 3x + 2y = 10 and x - 2y = -8.

Add the equations,

3x + 2y = 10
   x - 2y = -8
----------------
  4x = 2

   x = 2/4 = 1/2 = 0.5

Substitue x value in any of the equations inorder to get the value of y.

3x + 2y = 10

3(0.5) + 2y = 10

1.5 + 2y = 10

2y = 10 - 1.5

2y = 8.5

y = 4.25

The solution is x = 0.5 and y = 4.25.
