Volume of the cylinder,V = 40 L = 0.04 m³

Pressure,P =3200 kPa

Temperature,T =25°C =298 K

For acetylene:

Gas constant,R =  0.319 kJ/kgK.

Calculate the  mass by using the ideal gas equation.

PV =m RT

(3200)(0.04)= m(0.319)(298)

m =(3200)(0.04)/(0.319)(298)

   =1.35 kg

Therefore, the mass of the acetylene is 1.35 kg
