Calculate the wave velocity by using the following formula:

v =√ (T/(m/L))

Here T is the tension in the string,m is the mass of the string, and L is the length of the string.

Substitute 7 N for T ,2 g =0.002 kg for m, and 1.25 m for L.

v =√ (7/(0.002/L1.25))

   =66.144 m/s

Calculate the lowest frequency,

f1=v/2L

   =66.144/(2*1.25)

   =26.46 Hz

---------------------

Calculate longest possible wavelength.

λ=v/f

  =66.144/26.46

  =2.5 m

  =250 cm
