Diameter , D = 350 mm =0.35 m

Calculate the cutting speed of the lathe by using the formula:

v = πDN/60

     = π(0.35)(350)/60

    =6.414 m/s

Calculate the power,

P = Fv

   = (1000)(6.414)

  =6414 W

 = 6.414 kW
