(a)

Old - fashion vinyl record speed = 48 rpm

The angular velocity = (48 * 2π)/60

The angular velocity = 5.02 rad/sec.

Therefore angular Velocity is 5.02 rad/sec.

(b)

The period of the motion is the time taken in one revolution

The  speed of the vinyl record = 48 rpm.

Number of revolutions in one second = 48/60

Number of revolutions in one second = 0.8

Then 0.8 revoutions in one second

So period = 1/0.8 = 0.1989 sec.

Therefore period of the motion is 0.1989 sec.
