a)

Constant function : It is a fixed real number.

Properties of Constant function :

The equation of constant function is y = k or f(x) = k

The graph of a Constant Function is a horizontal line.

The slope of a constant function is 0.

The graph is a horizontal line parallel to the x-axis.

Let the equation of constant function is y = 2

The graph for constant function y = 2 is

b)

Let the equation of constant function is y = 2

The graph for constant function y = 2 is

From above graph constant function y = 2 never touches the X-Axis.

From properties , Constant function graph is a horizontal line parallel to the x-axis.

So Number of X- intercepts = 0

c)

Let the equation of constant function is y = 2

The graph for constant function y = 2 is

From above graph constant function y = 2.

From properties , Constant function graph is a horizontal line parallel to the x-axis.

And never turns to any side.

So Number of turnibg points = 0

A constant function is a function whose (output) value is the same for every input value.

The function y = 2 is a constant function because the value of  y or f(x)  is 2 regardless of the input value x.

This function maintains constant value for all value of x.

So it is called as constant function.
