3 red + 5 black + 2 green = 10

There are 10 marbles in a bag.

Drawing two balls from the bag.

Total number of possible choices = Number of ways in which the two balls can be drawn from the total of 10

n = 10C₂

n = (10*9)/(2*1) = 45

Number of favorable choices = The number of ways in which 2 red ball drawn out of 3 red .

= 3C₂

= 3

Probability of getting two red balls = (Number of favorable choices)/(Total number of possible choices)

= 3/45

Number of favorable choices = The number of ways in which 2 green ball drawn out of 2 green .

= 2C₂

= 1

Probability of getting two green balls = (Number of favorable choices)/(Total number of possible choices)

= 1/45

Probability of both are red or green balls P(E) = (3/45) + (1/45) = 4/45

P(E) = 4/45.
