The polynomial is 12xy - 4xz - 48y² + 16yz.

Common out 4 from the polynomial.

12xy - 4xz - 48y² + 16yz = 4(3xy - xz - 12y² + 4yz)

By factoring by grouping.

= 4[x(3y - z) - 4y(3y - z)]

= 4(3y - z)(x - 4y).

The factor of 12xy - 4xz - 48y² + 16yz is 4(3y - z)(x - 4y).
