x+a/ x-b = x-a/ x+b

(x+a)(x+b) = (x-a)(x-b)

x^2 +bx +ax +ab = x^2 -bx - ax + ab

Subtract ( x^2 + ab ) from each side.

bx +ax = -bx - ax

bx +ax  + bx + ax = 0

2ax + 2bx = 0

x(2a + 2b) = 0

Divide each side by 2.

x = 0

The value is 0

Cross check your answer by substituting x = 0 in x+a/ x-b = x-a/ x+b
(0 + a ) / (0 - b ) = (0 - a) / (0 + b)
a/ -b = -a / b

If b = 0 the equation becomes undetermined.
So, solution will be x = 0, b≠0,
