2 polynomial functions questions..?

0 votes

1) Find the value of k such that (0, 10) is the y-intercept for the graph of f(x) = x^3 - 2x^2 + 14x - 3k.

2) Suppose a polynomial function f has three zeros, -3, 2, and 4, and has the end behavior that its graph goes down to the left as x -> -infinity and down to the right as x -> +infinity. Discuss possible equations for f.

Please if you can provide the steps and an explanation would help a lot. Thanks for your time!

Step 1:

The function is image.

image-intercept point is image.

Find the image value.

Substitute image in the image.

image

The value of image is image.

Step 2:

The polynomial function image has zeros are image and image.

General form of polynomial function image.

Substitute image and image in the general form.

The function is image.

Graph:

Graph the function image.

Observe the graph:

The graph is shows end behavior is image to image.

The domain of the equation is  image.

Solution :

(1) The value of image is image.
