Given equation is 3log(x + 2) = 6

                           => log(x + 2)^3 = 6

                           => 10^6 = (x +2)^3         [  image ]

                           => (10^2)^3 = (x + 2)^3

                           => (100)^3 = (x + 2)^3    [ Since powers are equal, we can equalise the exponents ]

                           => 100 = x + 2

                           => x = 100 - 2

                                   = 98

Therefore the value of x is 98.
