The system of equations are 3x + y = - 6 and 3x - 5y = 12.

Graph the each equation by using intercept method :

First find x and y - intercepts of the each equations.

To find x-intercept, substitute the value of y = 0 in the equation 1 : 3x + y = - 6.

3x + (0) = - 6 ⇒ 3x = - 6 ⇒ x = - 2. So the point is (-2, 0).

To find y-intercept, substitute the value of x = 0 in the equation 1 : 3x + y = - 6.

3(0) + y = - 6 ⇒ y = - 6. So the point is (0, - 6).

To find x-intercept, substitute the value of y = 0 in the equation 2 : 3x - 5y = 12.

3x - 5(0) = 12 ⇒ 3x = 12 ⇒ x = 4. So the point is (4, 0).

To find y-intercept, substitute the value of x = 0 in the equation 2 : 3x - 5y = 12.

3(0) - 5y = 12 ⇒ - 5y = 12 ⇒ y = - 12/5. So the point is (0, - 12/5).

Draw a coordinate syatem and plot the above points.

Connected the points (-2, 0) and (0, - 6) with a smooth line and complete the first line.

Connected the points (4, 0) and (0, - 12/5) with a smooth line and complete the second line.

Observe the graph, the two lines are intersect at the point (-1, -3).

Therefore, solution of the system of equation is (-1, -3).
