Given expression

x²- 9x + c

Rewrite the expression

(x)² - 2(x)(9/2) +(9/2)² - (9/2)² + c

Mathematics formulas: (a - b)² = a² - 2ab + b²

(x - 9/2)²+ (c - 81/4)

Clearly to make the polynomial a perfect square (c - 81/4) should be zero.

So, c - 81/4 = 0

Add 81/4 to each side.

c = 81/4

Answer :

Therefore c = 81/4
