(1 + x)^2 / (1 + x)^1/2  =  (1 + x)^(2 - 1/2)

                                    =  (1 + x)^(4 - 1)/2

                                    =  (1 + x)^3/2

Answer :

(1 + x)^2 / (1 + x)^1/2  =  (1 + x)^3/2.
