3x^2 + 4ax − 8a^2 + 7x^2 − 2ax + 7a^2   =   3x^2 + 7x^2 + 4ax − 2ax− 8a^2 + 7a^2

                                                                   =   x^2(3 + 7) + ax(4 − 2) − a^2(8 - 7)

                                                                   =   10x^2 + 2ax − a^2

Answer :

3x^2 + 4ax − 8a^2 + 7x^2 − 2ax + 7a^2   =   10x^2 + 2ax − a^2.
