Given that x^4 - 1/x^3 = 0

x^4 = 1/x^3

(x^4)(x^3) = 1

(x^(4+3)) = 1               (from formula a^m . a^n = a^m+n)

(x^7) = 1

Take seventh root on both sides

(x^7)^1/7 = (1)^1/7

x = 1

verification -

x^4 - 1/x^3 = 0

(1)^4 - 1/(1)^3 = 0

1 - 1 = 0
