Prime Factorization of 100:

Express the composite number as a product of its prime factors.

Draw the possible factor trees.

 The prime factorization of 100 is  2 · 2 · 5 · 5

The prime factorization of 100 is  2 · 2 · 5 · 5 or 22 · 52.

Note: Both trees give same reuslt. Prime facots are unique to a particular number.
