Solve for W?

6=-3/4W : Frankly I can't figure this out. I haven't done it in so long I forgot the process. Could someone provide me the full explanation?

6 = -3/4w

Apply multiplication property, multiple by negitive 4/3 to each side.

6*-4/3 = (-3/4*-4/3)w

-8 = w

w = -8

Solution w = -8

The equation is 6 = -3 / 4w.

Multiply each side by 4w.

6 * 4w = ( -3 / 4w ) * 4w

Apply rule for multiiplication: (a/b) * (c/d) = a*c / b*d

6 * 4w = ( -3 * 4w) / 4w

Cancel common terms.

6 * 4w = -3

24w = -3

Divide each side by 24.

24w / 24 = -3 / 24

w = -3 / 24

Multiple of 3 is 1 * 3.

Multiple of 24 is 1 * 2 * 2 * 2 * 3

The product of common multiples 1 * 3 or 3 is called the Greatest Common Factor.

Take the numerator and nunominator as product of GCF.

w = 3(-1) / 3(8)

Cancel common term i.e., GCF i.e., 3.

w = (-1) / (8)

w = -1 / 8 is the solution.
