Given inequlity 5x-y ≥ 10

5x-y = 10

Convert the equation slope intercept form of line y = mx+b

Subtract 5x from each side.

5x-5x-y = 10-5x

-y = -5x+10

Multiple to each side by negitive one.

y = 5x+10

Convert the equation slope intercept form of line y = mx+c

Now graph the line y = 5x+10

the graph of y = 5x+10 is shaded teal colour.

The boundary line of graph of y = 5x+10 is shaded with solid fuchsia colour.

To determine which side (left side or right side) to be shaded, use a test point to the left or right side of the line y = 5x + 10.

A simple choice is (0, 0).

Substitute the value of (x, y) = (0, 0) in the original inequality.

5x - y ≥ 10

5(0) - 0 ≥ 10

0 ≥ 10 (False)

That is the reason why it is shaded left side part in the graph.

So shade the other region which doesnot contain the point (0,0).
