y is direct variation to then y = kx

Given numbers form a ratio expressed as y/x = 2/5/1/3

y/x =6/5

To find y when x = 1/4

We set up another ratio is y/1/4 =4y

By the definition both ratios are equal 6/5 =4y

Divide to each side by 4

6/5*4 = 4y/4

6/20 = y

y = 3/10
