point-slope form line equation is y - y1 = m (x - x1)

where m is slope and (x1, y1) is any point on the line.

first find the slope. m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

m= (-2 - 0) / (0 - (-1))

m = -2

line equation is y - 0 = -2 ( x - (-1))

y = -2x -2
