what is the acceleration of the boat?

0 votes

the speed of a racing boat changes from 0 ft/s to 264 ft/s in 6 seconds, so what is the acceleration of the boat in ft/s^2 using the formula a= f-i/t?

Formula a = (f-i)/t

Here a is accelaration of an object(ms^-2).

f is final velocity of an object(ms^-1).

i is initial velocity of an object(ms^-1).

t is the time that an object accelarates for (s).

264 ft/sec = 80.4672 m/sec

a = (80.4672-0)/6

a = 13.4112 m/sec^2

Accelaration of the boat is 13.4 m/sec^2.
